Why aren't all texts translated into all languages?
The website of the Biosphere Tour is translated into several languages, in order to allow interested people of many countries to obtain information about the project. Due to limited resources, however, it is not possible to translate all texts during the journey, so that all travel stories and interviews are only available in one language: English
Why had English been chosen as the main language?
Even though the Biosphere Tour won't cross any English-speaking countries, English is the most spoken second language of the world, and thus has the highest potential to reach a big audience. Furthermore, technical reasons obstruct another language choice: Characters like "ö" (German), "â" (French), "ñ" (Spanish), "ك" (Arabic) and "生物" (Chinese) cannot be written and displayed by all internet cafes on the planet.
