When and where?

Planning

The Biosphere Tour will start at the end of August / beginning of September at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris, where the MAB Secretariat is located. From there the route follows a south-east direction, crossing the Balkans to Greece and the Middle East. The second part will lead from Thailand via Southeast Asia to China.

Route

The intention is to visit the following countries: France, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia & Montenegro, Albania, Greece, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and China.

Offsetting CO2

Carbon dioxide emissions caused by intercontinental flights during the trip will be "financially offset" via the purchase of carbon dioxide certificates issued by Atmosfair (see certificates for the sections Athens - Cairo and Beirut - Bangkok)
