Raising awareness for the UNESCO biospheres

What is an UNESCO biosphere anyway? For years, Christoph Nolte has been asked this questions, when trying to explain his interest in these unique regions. Few people know that this name stands for an intelligent idea, fascinating people and beautiful landscapes, and the Biosphere Tour intends to change that: Using interviews, photos and stories, as well as local press reports, it takes a small step towards spreading an awareness of this important centres.

How?
What is a biosphere?

Connection between theory and practice

If a good idea cannot be effectively put into practice it loses its value. Therefore, the Biosphere Tour looks for good examples which will achieve the goal of reconciling and harmonizing the often conflicting needs between man and nature.

Environmental Friendliness and Intercultural Understanding

More than six billion people are living on a planet with limited resources of air, water, land and energy. This can only work out if these resources are used in an intelligent, efficient and cooperative way. In these times, with the media dominated by discussions about terrorism and world order, the Biosphere Tour wants to draw the attention to the fact that most people love to live in a peaceful environment, and that global resources can be sufficient for everybody.
