[This is the correction of the mistakes in the article
"Global environmentalist arrives in Chouf" published in 
The Daily Star / Herald Tribune on 06.03.2006]


1. "German globe-trotter Gustav Nolt has arrived ..."

Correction: 
My first name is "Christoph". My last name is "Nolte".


2. "Speaking to The Daily Star in the Chouf ..."

Correction: 
I didn't speak to The Daily Star directly. I spoke to a 
journalist that send his article to all newspapers in 
the country.


3. "Lebanon is one of the leading countries that is most 
committed to biosphere reserves ... ".

Correction: 
I NEVER said that. And I wouldn't even say that.


4. "Nolt, who is on an air bike ... "

Correction: 
It is a bicycle, or mountain bike. "Air bike" is the 
word-by-word translation from Arabic.


5. "His tour is part of the program called "Man and the 
Biosphere Program" ..."

Correction: 
My tour is - unfortunately - not officially connected to 
the MAB program. I am just visiting the UNESCO 
biosphere reserves, with a recommendation letter from 
UNESCO's headquarters.



6. "to learn about how the different cultures ..."
   "raise awareness about the importance ..."
   "some people think that these reserves are for tourism 
    only ..."
   "threatened by real dangers ..."

Assumption: 
Since I never said that to the journalist, these quotes 
have just been copied from the article with Al Ghad 
(20.02.2006).
